ACE Unit Arrests Two Following Search Warrant

Carrollton, GA (April 14, 2023) – On March 22, 2023, the ACE Unit executed a search warrant at 62 Depot Street, Whitesburg, based on an on-going investigation into the sale of methamphetamine.

At the scene, Jena Kilgore, 38, of Whitesburg, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and served with outstanding warrants from State Board of Pardons and Parole as well as the DEA.  She was transported to the Carroll County Jail.

Investigation revealed Barry Crenshaw, 50, of Whitesburg, ran from the scene as he saw investigators approaching.  Over the next several days and weeks, investigators followed up on leads as to Crenshaw’s whereabouts.  On March 25, 2023, detectives located Crenshaw and Carroll County deputies attempted a traffic stop.  Crenshaw fled from deputies in his vehicle, travelled down a power line, and then fled on foot.  A search of his vehicle and the power line where he ran yielded over three ounces of suspected methamphetamine.  Warrants were issued for Trafficking Methamphetamine and Fleeing & Attempting to Elude.   On April 13, 2023, Crenshaw was apprehended in Douglas County.
